I have the 14 pick set. I think. I don't use it much, but when I do it always works. I am very glad I purchased it and it is really fun to show friends.

I would always recommend SO to any picker, newb og pro. You get bang for your buck. Be aware of copies/fake SO produkts though. SO adress this problem on their website.

I got the PSX-14 14 peice set from

http://www.netlinkenterprises.com/secur ... rod=PXS-14

for $25.98 out the door. $19.99 and $5.99 shipping. Not bad. What I really liked was it comes with 4 tension bars. Those are almost as important as the picks. The $12 n00b sets usually just have one tension bar. I probably won't ever use all of the 9 pics it comes with, but it's nice for a newbie to not start out handicaped by bad tools. The junk 4 piece sets are like starting out learning from a book that has pages missing. Might as well use paperclips, you'll have more options..:) - Joe

Southord lockpicks are pretty darn good compared to some other brands I have used.

My PSX-14 set arrived. Getting the little plastic handles on was a pain, but no biggie. I set them in hot water which might've helped. What really helped was I found I could wedge the pick between the handles of a pair of pliars I have, up near the hinge, then really shove on it without risk of skewering myself. Their Top Grain Cowhide case is a joke. Picture the case that comes with a $2 knife at the gun show, or maybe a flea market and you'll get the idea. The selection of tools is decent. It's got a little bit of everything. All in all I like it! - Joe

Oh, if you can take a picture of this case, I would love to see it. It sounds pretty bad. Not at all what I would have expected.

seems the general consensus is that southord= decent.

did we get a final answer on whether or not they ship to Canada?

just my experience, but I've never used more than a small diamond and an S-rake... once I stopped drilling locks for kicks that is.

happy picking!

did that, they don't ship here anymore. Something about customs BS not being worth their time.

oh well, any other good manufacturers that DO ship to Canada?

Hello world!

PXS-14 are the only lockpicking tools I own besides a few homemade padlock shims. They work great for me; I havn't come across a lock of it's purpose that I couldn't open. The long jag pick did break, probably in my newbish fury :D
