BS Curtain pick set

Postby kwc » 6 Oct 2006 12:23

Hi All,
Is there anyone here used this pick set and if so does this seem a fair price?
http://www.devonlocks.co.uk/cart/produc ... t=3&page=1

Is it a good set to start with and what locks should a get to practice with.

Thanks
Kev

Hmmm, I'm not sure if they come pre-modified to pick low lever, or whether you still have to modify them yourself.

Well it gives you two different gauges - 7G and 5G. This will pick quite a few locks, with the off 3G keyway cropping up. For the price it's not too bad, but I haven't used it myself.

Alternatively, there is the CB curtain pick...

Although you really should read Shrub's stickied guide about BS lever locks - save yaself some cash, and also find a lock that is good to start on.

I find it funny how theres tears when we tell how to pick these locks on here and yet they supply wholesalers with the picks to sell them to anyone,

Its over priced and unless they have been changed need modifying to pick low levers, many say it is a copy of the Rimmer Brothers pick (RB Medical), ive tried them and wasnt impressed at all but i am used to others and havent spent a long time getting used to these, i know some do like them and use them all the time,

I would get the CB picks if you can (lockie only) or as Illusion says have a look at my guide and have a go making things yourself especially if your doing it for fun,
