It is that time of year. I was wondering what types of tools you would recommend for a beginner. I have an MPXS-14 right now but I want to add to my arsenal. The things I found I liked were the Majestic jigglers, pick gun, Southord plug spinner and a Bogota pick set from Varjeal. The problem is the jigglers are not on lockpickshop.com but I am going to have to deal with it. Any suggestions or comments about my choices would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

If they are auto jigglers, skip them as they are worthless......
For the best book out there on high security locks and their operation, take a look at amazon.com for High-Security Mechanical Locks An Encyclopedic Reference. Written by our very own site member Greyman! A true 5 Star read!!

Plug spinner and a Bogota set sounds good, they come in handy when you least expect it.

I'll PM ya with my addy so they will be delivered on time for me to open on christmas delivery. j/k

If you are going to get a plug spinner, get the rytan plug spinner (or at least the HPC) - the southord spinner is completely useless (I have the rytan and the southord, never touch the southord anymore).

Zeke I have no intrest in auto's because I have no information on them. I heard these picks(almost like computer generated)http://www.lockpicks.com/ProductImages/htpk-20.jpg are good for jiggling standard locks.

I think bumpit is referring to the High Tech pick set which is on the line of the HPC compu picks, if so they are on my list too ;)

The High Tech Pickset is on http://www.lockpicks.com you shouldn't have any problems with them at all.

The Bogota set is an excellent choice, and for a plug spinner I would suggest the HPC or Rytan. The Southord is good for in a pick set, but otherwise there are other choices.

On ebay there are 3 choices for the plug spinners. One is normal and two are compact and cost less.(ebay.ca) Are the compact or normal ones better.
