Did a lockout last night and had two options - use swanky new letterbox tool to knock internal key vertical in the euro so exterior key entry made possible, or try to pick rear door mortice. I went for the letterbox option.
But glancing thru the keyhole I saw the keyway of a sashlock never seen before. A grey colour (it was dark so cant quite determine shade, but looked like quite a light grey), with a hardplate above the top of keyway (pro-fit style - though not as neat) and the world's fattest curtain. Think pro-fit curtain size and double it. It must have been 4mm all around. Collosal!
Any ideas what it was? Owner didnt want me to go thru to kitchen after gaining entry as large dog left in there....so unable to open door and look.
