Yankee Screwdriver Plug Spinner

I think I'm with you, you mean a cordless dont do 0-60 as quick as a yankee,( in laymans terms.) I thought there would be a good reason.

As it happens I found all my old yankee's when clearing out my garage, forgot I had 'em. cordless drills eh don't you love em, they dont roll off a scaffold and impale someone.

You can get a very cheap version of this driver at Big-Lots store for less than 15$ dollars u.s.. good quality but not stanley.

Ive been thinking about this recently,

Whats the thought of a big fat spring on the shaft with a trigger of some sort that once youve pressed the driver in holds it there, pulling of the trigger releases the shaft and the spring shoots the shaft out fast,

It would be easy to try and somthing ive thought about as i say, im sorry if this was mentioned ive not actually read back through the thread which i suppose i should do now even as i type but my lazyness says no, dont do it lol

seems to be my day for joining topics after everyone else has moved on, but I like to do that.

a way around that problem with the cordless drill would be to use a screw gun. the motor is at its highest, but the blade doesn't turn until you apply enough pressure to it. I can forsee a problem in that you wouldn't be able to stop it fast enough, it would just keep turning until you broke it.

shrup u mentioned an elastic band on the tension wrench what exactly were you talking about?

a plug spinner that way?

if so can you post a pic or video on how to use that...

Theres no need for a vid,

The aim of a spinner is to flick the plug around after its been picked in the wrong direction to unlock a door,

With that in mind you need somthing that will facilitate this,

The simplest cheapest solution is to put your wrench in middle of the keyway and hook an elastic band around the end,

Hold the wrench in place and stretch the elastic band as far as you need in the direction of spin required,

Now let go of the wrench to spin the plug,

You can use varients such as cutting the rubber band and tieing it on the end of the wrench or slotting the wrench handle so the band hooks around it,

It will take some practice but only like the normal spinners do, one or two flips and youve got it sorted,
