so i've got the little locker w/o a key. locker is minimum 30 years old, possibly up to 80.
the lock is a small yale, that i'm guessing is a curtain lock? i'm not finding it on their website.
the key is flat with ~6 stepped contact points near the end and a notched tip that fits into the small bushing on the back of the lock to center the key.
writing on the back is a 3 digit hex code followed by a 3 digit number, the number is repeated on the face of the keyway.
from examining other locks, the hex code is the master key code, and the numbers are the key id.
coin in images is a US quarter for scale.
the keyway rotates from 6 ~ 1 oclock w/o impedement where at least 1 ramp starts to intrude where the business side of the key would be (on the outside of the keyway.
i have permission to attempt to generate a key for this lock, i'm just wondering a bit mroe about it's insides so that i know more of what i'm up against.
