Has anyone heard of this, because my doorknob on my door has a wide keyhole like most wafer locks. Shaped exactly like it also. I dont know the name its not on the lock, and i cant post digital pictures(I have no camera) to show. Sorry

Not in the US unless you have an antique Schlage.
Look at the latch plate on the end of the door for a name or on the head of your key.

I actually ran into one the other night on a lockout. Not only did he have a wafer knob lock on the front door, but it was placed dead center of the door. I'm talking center as in left to right.

Yes, the door to the right is what he had on his front door.

I just want to add that in 7 months of doing lockouts this is the third wafer lock I have seen. This is the only one I have see on the front door and the only one I have seen in the center of the door.
One of the others was on a back door and the other one was on a garage door. The garage door was electric, when I picked the lock the garage door opened via the door opener.

Just cleaned off of the metal plate right where the latch meets the door,(it was dirty) and it had a "SEARS" and "USA" logo. It doesnt seem that old, its not rusted at all, but I wouldnt call it brand new. And the doorknob is on the right of the door like 98% of knobs out there, not the center.
