The subject of foil impressioning has been normally kept to the advanced section and then Db came on and made a post in the public section which remains to this day so then the barriers were broken down but no further interest shown,
You can buy a couple of commercial tools that look more like comb picks which the foil wraps around, in that case you have no issues of scrathing the foil off when you insert and pull out the key however they are prone to getting stuck in the lock,
I notice on the part of one of the videos i saw tht the key seems to have an abrupt angle on the part youve cut out for the foil, i would have suggested that instead of 90' this would be better as an angle so if things go wrong you can still easily pull the key out,
Other methods that work well on dimple locks that you previously struggle on is to use a compound under the foil, foam, glue, clay, rubber anything you can think of really, this stops sharp pins or over impressioning damageing the foil and getting the key jammed,
Getting keys jammed is the most common problem of this technique,
It does work on high low combos but they tend to be a bit more tempremental to do, if alls prepared well and a good system then it will work but if your having slight issues with any part of the system you wont get a high low combo,
Im interested to know if the keys in the video were also thinned down to allow for the thickness of the foil?
