Inside a Wendt aka Zieh-Fix Electropick Gun

For those of you who are interested here are some shots of the inside of the Wendt Pickgun

The some of the images have german text on them. I used google translate which is less than perfect, but at least gives some idea of what it is about.

As a native of Franken I happen to have some knowledge of the german tongue. My command of the english language needs work however. So I´ll try to pitch in in a feeble attempt to deliver better translations. Please forgive me if some of the translations still fail to be perfect.

The Wendt jpgs

Postby pickmonger » 8 Feb 2007 17:34

Unfortunately I do not know where they came from.

I was emailed them and choose to share them. I wish I could give credit where credit is due.

Those were great pic's. Thanks for posting it. It really lets you see the fundamentals of electropick constuction. I thought it was particularly interesting how far back the fulcrum is located.

Thanks cottonmouth.
I guess the further from the tip the pivot is the more evenly the needle will hit the pins - so it's hitting the front and back pins at roughly the same time and imparting roughly the same energy.

The info on this thread has been taken from a German lockpicking forum, i saw them a long time ago posted on there and they are linked to in another thread,

Im really sorry but i have removed all the pictures and text because no permission on re-posting them has been gained and its not right to do, on a simular note how would you like for our advanced sections to be copied to their forum? you need to be a member of their forum to view these so its obviously not for public consumption,

Im sorry but this is the way it has to be, please be careful posting things you dont know the origin from, ignorance is not a good defence,
