actually i started when i was 14, actually...this is kind of a bad thing but i bought a new game, Elder scrolls oblivion, and i saw the lockpicking in that and it was facinating so i started woth bpbby pins, then soon i told my parents, they supported me, they manage several apartments and whenever they need something opened or impression/fixed im there first choice, by the way i still use bobby pins and a pen clip, aswell im still 14 :s
just be happy, smile to yourself, right now, even if your sad....you'll like it, sing to yourself if you must, please for your sake and the worlds be happy, the last thing we need is more sadness....its alright.......don't worry

Hey Ganphra.

Oblivion is awesome, Yah I enjoy picking locks on the game.

I would strongly suggest you get some real tools. We have a lot of information on how to make them..

If you are opening locks you depend on you should have real tools, the bobby pins and Pen clips have too much of a change to break inside the lock.. That will cost your parents money if you can't fix what you messed up.

Also remember don't pick locks you depend on unless you really need to.

I started picking locks when I was 14 too, bring back memories. I would get real tools soon as possible as well. Things like bobby pins are so flimsy that they can often fail when you need them the most and just adds to frustrations and setbacks.

Get a regular novice set, not a jack knife pick. I started with something similar, the kwik pick and that thing broke on me after a month.
If a lock is a puzzle, then its key is the complete picture

Also please make your thread titles relate to the question being asked. "hi" is not an acceptable thread title. Not only does it make many people not really look at it, but it also makes the thread much harder to find when doing a search.

Thanks 8)
For the best book out there on high security locks and their operation, take a look at amazon.com for High-Security Mechanical Locks An Encyclopedic Reference. Written by our very own site member Greyman! A true 5 Star read!!

Sorry, I didn't mean this thread was spam. I meant that Zeke has been doing stuff like that lately and since he said

Oblivion is a pretty bitchin game, i always sucked at the lockpicking part though. I would also suggest that you make your own picks out of some hacksaw blades, even if you only have a dremel it doesn't take very long and you'd be surprised with the results.
It's a simple question Doctor, would you eat the moon if it were made of ribs?!
