Peterson G-4 Elite Government Steel Set

I just ordered this set and I can't wait for it to get here. It's insanely huge and expensive in a nice leather sheep wrap, the set sells for $500 and it comes complete with their G1 pick set and their entire line of bypass tools.
I'm going to have hours of fun playing with my new kit.

Just look at it, so many toys! i'm so excited about this i had to tell everyone. i'll give you a full review of the entire kit when it comes. I deal with alot of adams rite flick bolts on stores so this should be a very in depth review of the bypass items also.

Seems like a hell of alot of money for this kit.......fancy handles and nice case, and not much more than what you could rustle up with a grinder and hacksaw blades.

Personally I would have got a more basic set (and alot cheaper) and bought individual ones that take your fancy or even fabricated some of the 'missing' ones of possible.

Be interested to know what else is in there as the photo doesnt show it all too clearly. So look forward to your analysis of what it contains.

No offence intended - just my personal opinion of the kit and its price!

horsefeathers... he's a pro lockie.... if a lockie showed up at your door with picks made of hacksaw blades what would you say?

also peterson picks are excellent, the best picks i own

no problem everyone is entitled to their opinion. personally i have been through many picksets, from southord , hpc, etc. i decided to add additional toys to my arsenal. i am a locksmith after all so there is no possibility of "wasting money" on picks. i will use everything i buy in one way or another.
I can see how this kit would be better fit for a locksmith then a lockpicker and i agree with you, if you just pick locks you don't need all this ding'dong bypass toys, it would be a waste of money for you. I'm also looking to purchase a felle set for myself to add to my toys. This is my career and there is no stopping me from buying all the fancy ding'dongs till i find stuff i really enjoy using. I'm tired of the regular hpc / southord picks, they bore me and hurt my hands after extended periods of picking. they are great quality but i'm yawning when i pull them out.

also i'm the kind of person that follows this guide line with tools. buy the best. I need stuff i can depend on, i don't want to be driving around looking for tools because something broke on me at a job site. I have one pair of Knipex self locking pliers that cost $50 and they are by far the best i've ever used and i will never consider purchasing another pair after using these. Thats what i'm looking for in the pick department. I know i can manufacture picks out of almost anything in my truck, but i'm a professional and i want to get the job done quickly,properly with the right tools and without the possibility of damaging the customers locks. i don't want a self made pick busting off a tip inside their cylinder, it's really bad for repeat business.

personally i find peterson to be the best picks on the market.... I have handled HPC, Falle, SO, Dyno Navigator and Rytan
Out of all of them my favourite is Peterson.
I could go into an all out review... but I am lazy... if you have Q's about a specific brand ask and I shall deliver

nice i'm even more stoked to get it. .. it's funny because i pick so many locks at work i don't usually practice at home anymore but if you could see me right now, i got my mul-t-lock cylinder infront of me with my hpc pick set out and i'm going at it, i picked it twice so far with fewer pins and i just increased the stack. lets see if i can train myself to open these things on command.

I also love the Peterson picks, I also have a Falle set. In terms of quality the Peterson's have much better steel than the flimsy Falle set, not that I don't love my Falles, but the Peterson's are of better quality, and more comfortable to use. Even the standard Peterson picks, made of hardened spring steel are incredible. As for knippex pliers, I have them myself! They are great, I have there adjustable channel lock pliers...... awesome.

Quality always pays..............

im awaiting my "just picks assorted" arrival. cant wait for them. looks like i got one of the last sets on the shelf as well. cant get them fro love nor money atm.

BTW if anyone knows where you can get hold of a "Just picks" set Bumpit is after one.
