I am a little confused with this lock, I understand that it has two shear lines that have to be set correctly, but wouldn't conventional picking do this? This special tension wrench is supposed to provide torque for only the inner cylinder which opens the lock, but how does this help bipass/set the second shear line?

You're only setting 1 shear line, actually. It just matters which one you set, and you cannot mix and match shear lines like you can in a masterkeyed system.

Here's a key:

[] - Driver
|| - Master Wafer
\/ - Key Pin

Normal Lock:
[][][][][]
\/\/\/\/\/

Pretty obvious shear line!

Mastered:
[][][][][]
||||\/\/||
\/\/ \/

Several possible shear lines!

SFIC:
[][][][][]
||||||||||
\/\/\/\/\/

Several possible shear lines! (BUT WAIT!) it's actually only 2, distinct, shear lines, both of which perform different functions. There is a small sleeve:

So, you're not actually setting TWO shear lines, you're setting 1 of 2, and if you use the special tool? You only put pressure on that sleeve I was talking about, that sleeve, when it moves, pulls itself INTO the body of the plug, and then you can remove the whole shebang from the housing of the lock.

ok thx I think I understand it now, you are trying to set the top shear line so that tool just will grip the outside sleeve. So that it all comes out.
