When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

I have found a super-easy solution to making homebrews. all you need is one of those sewing rulers with the little sliding thing. Take out the slide and cut on either side of the hole so there are 2 parts as long as the ruler was. One side already has a little triangle sticking out that you can sape into whatever you want, and the other one can easily be bent into a tension wrench.
Soon everything will become foolproof; and then someone will invent a better fool. :P

Hmm, I'm not a big fan of sowing so not quite sure what you mean. Got any pictures?
If a lock is a puzzle, then its key is the complete picture

I sew and know what your speeking of. However, if i'm not mistaken most or all of them are made from cheap materials, mainly aluminum, but if you have come across one that is stainless or any other metal stronger than aluminum I wouldn't rely on it for to long.

Well I only think it would be in an emergency, or for one or two times. But they are cheap, and they are really easy to shape.

here is a link to what I am talking about: http://www.distinctivesewing.com/images/notions/p_CDI038-d.gif
