While 'txt talk' might be acceptable in some places here is not one of them.
However, I too am 16, and my parents know I pick locks. Your parents might be apprehensive at first but once you explain it is purely a hobby, and not for breaking into peoples homes they will probably understand. It is best to tell them about it instead of hiding it, things like that can make parents doubt their trust and make them very unhappy...
Hope it goes well.

Welcome to the site! As a kind note before UWSDWF comes here: According to the forum etiquette, could you please not to use those appreviations like r, u, c and such. It is annoying to read, and, well...as you said you are getting A's and B's from school, I'd suggest to get your grammar correct
As for the topic, I just turned 22 and I'm living on my own at the moment. My parents are OK with my lockpicking hobby, although at first they had a little "paranoia" about it. That paranoia ended when I told them about the lockpicking ethics that me and others follow and showed them a box full of practice locks and my tools
As I have been younger like you, I know that you will make your situation pretty worse if you don't talk with your parents about what you are doing. In ten out of nine cases when you do something and you don't tell/talk about it with your parents and they find out about your doings, you will be banned from doing what you did. That is not the route you like to take.
So, be honest to your parents about the issue and follow strict ethics and you don't get in to trouble
Happy picking and I hope you stay along with us!

to be perfectly fair at one point i had a 4.0 at an ivy league university, and am renoun for my typing inepetitude. that said, i attempt to use english instead of homophonic letters as i'm concerned with communicating with others, however given the state of education in the states, i think we can afford to be a bit tolerant of folks who do their best to communicate ;)

I'm 22, been picking since I was about 12 back then it was all crappy luggage locks and made my own tools back then although they were preety bad all made from junk steel. These days I'm tackling spool pins and automotive locks.
If you can't make it work try yelling "aww d*****t!" and throwing your tools it never worked for my pops but it entertained me

I'm almost 22 and have been picking locks since I was about 14, but I had been searching out lockpicking and lock bypass information since I was seven.
If a lock is a puzzle, then its key is the complete picture

For a lot of people who are against the idea of locksports it might as well be.

 Yeah.
I'm 16 but I haven't picked any locks yet. I'm still waiting for my lock picking set.
My parents know that I want to learn to pick locks and they seem fine with it. I'd tell my parents if I were you, because if they find out some how they probably are going to trust you less than if you just told them about it.
