Its excellent.

Like the ad says, wait an hour and your lock is all but bump proof,
although the distributer says to leave it overnight before the lock is totally bump proof.

Hand picking is more difficult, and so is use of an electric pick gun.

I've seen tests on locks with this stuff.

Also B&Q and other DIY centres are soon to be stocking the individual sachets.

i was thinking it sounded an awful lot like glue as well.

more importantly, this is only a placebo. i dont see how anything is going to be an inject this and you will be safe from bumping.

i think someone else posted something about putting some sort of gel/liquid/goop into your locks to prevent bumping a while ago, but i cant remember off the top of my head any specifics.

How would it prevent bumping? by not allowing the top pins to travel quickly. I would assume it's some gel or other viscous substance. It would merely keep the top pins from 'bumping' off of the bottoms by slowing their movement through added resistance. This makes sense to me also because they say it defeats the electric pick gun, which uses rapid oscillation of the pick causing the pins to 'bump' and separate.

It doesn't defeat an EPG, does slows down the picking process, same with manual picking.

And as reported elsewhere, given enough practice, and enough locks, you'll probably find some that still bump. But treated right, and left to settle, this stuff is a lot better and cost effective than most other solutions to bumping that are out there.

the product makes the cylinder bump resistent and not bump proof, no one would claim a total success, it certainly is bump resistent and more cost effective than a bump resistent cylinder being fitted.

if you can afford bump proof cylinders then thats still the best option, if not this has proved to be a cost effective solution to prevent bumping of even the most budget cylinders.

I would think there would be some long term effects to this stuff. What's it going to be like a couple of years down the line.

As its a new product, i guess no one knows for sure, but after testing a major lock manufacturer has given it there blessing to be used on their cylinders without affecting the manufacturers warranty.

Until you give the lock a good dose of brake cleaner or electrical contact cleaner then relubricated. If this stuff has the viscosity to stop bumping then it will likely attract all sorts of dirt and grime in the long run and cause more problems than it solves.

So-far Ive only heard good things about this product, I hope it does what it says on the tin because Im waiting for a delivery.
People have been into my shop and are concerned about bumping (rightly so) and have asked me is there a cheap solution, from what Ive read about this product this appears to be it, at about £4 for 2 cyl I think its worth giving it a go.
