picking attached masterlocks--the ones without a handle!!!!

Postby cinnamon » 25 May 2007 3:52

I hold a gym membership at Lederman's Sports club. When I first got my membership, they gave me a locker and the combination to it. I forgot the digits to the combination and know the guy in customer service says there is a $30 fee to change the lock and give me a new combination!!! I told them it wouldn't cost them a penny to change it, but they say this is for the handling fee. I am so outraged. They have cameras in the locker room (there is a separate dressing room) but if they came over and was like, What in the world are you doing? I wouldn't get in trouble for picking my OWN lock!!

I refuse to pay this fee. They smack all these "small" fees on us to bring in the dough!!

The locks look like this: (only they are smaller) It is a masterlock combo lock but it is attached. How would I be able to pick it???

This is the closet picture I could find. They look exactly the same except it is half the size.

anybody willing to spread the knowledge?

No basically,

You want to go against most of the ethics we live by,

You do not pick locks in use,

You do not pick locks that are not yours (thisd one does seem to be the gyms and not yours),

You have 3 options,

Ring a locksmith, i guess the lockie will not do it as its not your lock or premises,

Leave the lock and locker and keep your 'pride' by not paying but at the same time you loose the locker,

Pay the fee, come on your a paying member of a gym and yet wont pay $30 to open the locker again that youve lost the key or combo for?

Regardless of circumstance this is not the sort of problem we help with, we are a hobby pickign site and help people to pick locks for a hobby, what you need is a locksmith or pay the fine,

All hyperthetical questions that i dont really want answers for, please dont repost this question thanks for playing,
Shrub
