So my uncle and his wife have gone and well i have like a day to lock this box! It's a brinks it's black and the key hole has pins on top and bottom, how do i lock it!! It took me about 37 minutes to lock it and he has a gun in money in it, and I dont want him to come back with it open!!!
Any technique to lock it??? I didn't use a tension wrench just pushed the pins and twisted it well they were in their. Used two home made hook picks, I'm scared, been tryin to close it for like 1 1/2 hours and i can't get it
The worst thing is that this was the first thing I ever picked!!!
Although i'm in this panic state I want to ask is this good for my first lock???
Respond back fast PLEASE!!!

First off, I'm sure you've heard the mantra about not picking locks you don't own/rely on. SERIOUSLY, DON'T DO IT!
OK, that rant aside, relax. When your nervous you will probably put too much tension on the lock. From your description, it sounds like a double sided wafer lock, not a pin tumbler. These are fairly easy locks to rake and are best defeated by ball/double ball rakes. I'm guessing however you don't have these tools and so you must improvise with hooks.
Try running your hook lightly along the wafers on one side of the keyway, setting the ones that bind as you go. When it seems like no more are binding, flip your hook over and try the other side. Repeat this process until all wafers are at the shear line.
I should probably also mention that if your tools are fashioned from paper/hair clips you should not attempt any of this as you're likely to just get your tools broken off in the lock. In all honesty, you should really tell your uncle about opening his box even if you do get it closed. It could be a good thing, he might get a better safe for his things.

You should tell your uncle that you are sorry. Put down your picks, and walk to the police station to report the felony that you committed.

no felony. he picked his uncles box. he didn't steal anything from it. well ya maybe a felony. but he is not dumb is not reporting himself. If your uncle is a cool dude, just tell him, if he isn't then pray to god he doesn't kill you. O ya, when he comes home, show him and count the mopney in the box. make sure he knows you didn't steal anything.
also whenever i get into trouble i think, in 5 years will it matter that i did this? will i remember it and or care?

Ok It's all locked up now. Thanks, and my uncle wouldn't get mad if I did this but he wouldn't be happy either.
Thanks

Hmmmm. I am in a very bad mood so I am going to say one thing that you should follow.
You made a bad move. Put the picks down for a while and make up your mind if you are in this for glory or for a hobby.

so if you key someone's car or graffiti your high school walls, it's ok, because in 5 years who's gonna care? are you that young and immature, and for that matter that inconsiderate?
your reputation will follow you around for years, especially if people think you're a punk kid who doesn't give a S^@#$ about his actions or the consequences.
you are defined by your actions, and you should care how you behave and what you do. Otherwise you'll grow up and be a total a hole that nobody will like or want to associate with.
and you wonder why people here are giving you a hard time.. stop acting like a douche and posting stupid s*%@

n00b! Everytime I turn around you're putting your foot in your mouth. Hopefully you'll grow as a picker and a person around here. .
Also, looking forward to sunday, squelch.
