Hello all, my name is Fev (online handle). I’m a full time employee at my Counties Sheriff’s Office and to say the least, am bored off hours from work. I’ve been looking to pick up a new hobby and possibly a side job. Lock picking has been very appealing to me since being a teen, and I think I’d like to give it a serious try. I am going to read the FAQ’s on here to see if I can point myself in the right direction. Not sure what beginner picks/locks to pick up or if I’m able to pick them up in town.

If anyone is interested in talking to a complete beginner, I very much welcome it as I’d love to talk to someone currently doing this hobby.

Glad to be a part of the site, I plan to stay for a very long time.
Fev

Hi all,

I'm Jay, I'm in Ashford, Kent, UK, and lock picking has interested me for a long time. I went through phases of trying to pick a padlock with paperclips, but to no avail. Thought I should learn properly and get an actual set of picks! So here goes!

Hello, My name is Stewart. I am not exactly new to these forums, yet at the same time I am. I have been reading these forums for the last month or two and have recently become a member. If you ever visit the IRC Channel you might have met me. I am a student in Ohio, and is working toward my future in the medical field. I recently have become interested in the sport of lock picking because i enjoy puzzles, and whats better that one that is not to be solved(Well thats the goal of the manufacture). I am posting to say hello, and to at least put one post under my belt for the time being.

Hi, name is Russ and I have been interested in picking since I was 15 (now 21) due to it basically being a puzzle that is presented to us everyday. I owned a lockpick set I bought out of a magazine but my mom threw them away less than a month after I bought them. Quite recently I had to repair a lock, and opening it up and seeing the mechanics of it drew me back into the hobby I never even started.

I basically joined as I am hoping to gain some knowledge on the subject, as well as get a list of much needed items to begin to work with.

Well, glad to be part of this site already, and hoping to engage in some discussions soon.

New to Forum

Postby Mad Dog » 5 Aug 2007 18:54

Hey!

I'm new to the forums (duh), hopefully this will turn out to be a nice hobby. ;)
Either way I've got a SouthOrd pick set comming in a few days and I'm looking forward to try my nonexisting picking skills on the spare padlocks I have.

Does anyone by chance know if there is a sporting group located in Stockholm, Sweden?
