When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

I like that everyone is making artistic picks now. In case anyone wants to get started look into getting a jewelers saw - and maybe a few other items.

Very nice job Charlie511!
I personally would only change one thing and that would be to make the area where the tang meets the shaft of the pick not so sharp of an angle. Doing this will leave less of an area for stress to take place.
Excellent job none the less.

kaotic is talking about the angle where your pick shaft meets the handle, the sharp angle can actually cause stress to build up/concentrate there and it could break the pick if there was some severe bad handling. Hes right about that but without the bad, too much force, handling, you should not have a problem.
Wake up and smell the Kafka!!!

They look like they'd be too flimsy for double ided wafer locks, but it's possbile I'm wrong.

Ok folks. I just have to give some props to Raimundo. Most everyone one on this site has heard of his bogota picks. Well, I ordered a set and got them yesterday, and man are they sweet. Not only are they a work of art (all edges are rounded instead of the square edges you get from the manifactured picks, and they ride piggy back on each other for easy carrying), but more importantly, they are fully functional, and quite simply, built better than what you get elsewhere. I stayed up last night until 2:30 raking open some of my locks.
I am relatively new to lock picking, but am getting better, and these picks make raking a breeze. Some of you guys who post your videos are killer at raking (and you know who you are). You should give these picks a try. I am working on getting better at spp, and I really believe that it will be a lot easier now.
I guess what I am saying is, if you don't own a pair of these picks, do yourself a favor and order a set. You won't be sorry. Thanks Ray.
