Automobile Lockpicking

I have just bought a slim jim, but it did not include instructions on how to use. So, if someone could please give me instructions on how to use a slim jim, it would be greatly appreciated.

I am going to be brutally honest with you. If this post was made in another popular online forum, it would have been given a score. Your score would probably have been (-1, flamebait). I really doubt anyone here will give you any usable advice, albeit after a good thrashing about ethics and the rules and such. I of course, invite you to read the rules, and to use the Search feature. This will have a good deal of info for you.

Moderator style stuff being said: Go to a junk yard, buy a couple OLD car doors. Take them apart, so you can see the insides. Lock and unlock the door by hand. Observe what happens. Get slim jim. Open door.

I don't even understand why the mods allow posts about what should be in the high security forums to stay open. Anything about automobiles, electric locks, safes, or advanced lock tools should be closed imediately unless it's in the correct forum.

I do question whether the "High security locks" should be allowed special access however. These locks are essentialy higher quality versions of the same locks descussed in the regular forums accept that they have more security devices such as sidebars. Please correct me if i'm mistaken.

it's more then just information on high security locks and picking them with standard lock picks, but also bypass methods etc. which definatly should not be in an open forum.

also, its not difficult to get into the advanced forums. If you want to, its rather easy to get in, its not like you need to prove your a locksmith, do a quiz etc. If ppl want to know about these locks, its not difficult to.
