IS this lock difficult to pick?

Postby macattax » 5 Nov 2007 11:12

Hi,

I have lost the key for my alarm door and I need to get in there to replace the battery as it doesnt hold a charge anymore so I get an inntermittent beep which becomes unbearable at times,

I will add a picture of it which was taken on my camera phone so the quality isnt so good.

Will this be too hard for a begginer to pick?

I cant see the lock very clearly... try setting the focus to manual, setting higher resolution and moving back a little bit... not all cameras do macro focus well, or even at all. As it stands I cant make out much from that picture.

Before you pick a lock:
The first thing that you should do is check to make sure that
the lock is your's and secondly make sure its not in use.

As that lock may be yours, and it is for your alarm system, we recommend that you don't mess with it, as it is a lock you do/will rely on.

Something of that nature is to protect you and your family and should be picked by a professional and not a beginner (regardless the kind of lock). Sorry to not give you any further information about your lock, but it is best if something were to happen to it while you attempted to open it.
