safe lock manipulation

Iv'e been a locksmith for 10 years plus,during this time iv'e opened many safes,combination and key,but all by the method of drilling!

Iv'e looked into buying a dialler but with the "comments" iv'e got ,they only have a 65% success rate,and at over 6000£ is hell of a lot to pay for the amount of use it may get. As this part of locksmithing is not my main income, (so for the past 3 weeks) iv'e been trying to manipulate an S&G3 wheel combination lock. I can listen with the stethascope and count how many wheels there are. I can also hear ok the drop in position/contact point,iv'e done this ok on safes in the shop over the weeks but iam having trouble locating the drop in positions on the wheels,i would appreciate any help.thanks

hrm... advice on an autodialer could be given here, and i'm sure if someone knows something about safes they'd be more then willing to PM him.

I'm not sure where you got that information about an autodialer but it will probably work closer to 95% of the time. Go with the ITL1000 used if you can find it (a bit more difficult to set up but a lot less $) or if not go wit the ITL2000. It can take almost three days to get the safe open and it does take some practice to set up. If you can get you manipulation skills so you can find even 1 number and its position in the combo it cuts the timee down around 40 minutes. The new dialer on the market that uses manipulation is probably not worth the money depending on what kind of work you do because it is only usefull on non-insulated safes in quiet areas. (although you can put an insulator around it in a noisier place)
As for manipulation, like it has already been stated that is probably a topic for the advanced area.

Autodialer?!

Research the Mas-Hamilton Soft-Drill system. In essence, it's a computerized safe-lock manipulator that will get the lock open in about 45 minutes (as opposed to 72 hours).
