Can someone Explain How To print this template to size?

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Can someone Explain How To print this template to size?

Postby furnaps » 23 Nov 2007 6:32

I think I like this template the best So far BUT I have no Idea How to print it to the exact size Onto a standard peice of paper so that I dont have to do any measuring.

I want to Just Cut out the template with an Exacto Knife and Make My Pick the same exact size.

Can someone please Help me to get this thing To print the way I will need it to?

Or even If you have some templates allready the perfect size that would be great.

Thanks.

btw- I am Very new here so please be easy on me, My name is jeff Im 21yrs old from the U.S And I just started getting Interested in lock picking.
I recently made my first Pick and Preassure wrench But Really want to make a Good looking Set From Reall Templates.

Hi furnaps, Welcome to Lockpicking!

Here are some Templates!

I don't actually know how but, it's something about "print to scale and DPI"
I'm sure someone here is willing to help you!

Btw. I like mine 7 - 9 cm in length, it's all about personal preferences!

:D

Before you pick a lock:
The first thing that you should do is check to make sure that
the lock is your's and secondly make sure its not in use.

Could saving them in to pdf files would yield the best results? For ease of use and such.

Just my 1.33 euro cents.

Bumpkeys are classified as bypasses and thus aren't open for discussion outside the Advanced section.

There's a ton of info here on making bump keys. You can do an advanced Google search to find it. But here's a quick rundown of what you need to do to make one by hand.

You would have a hard time making a bump key from a template, since the spacing is critical. Your best bet would be to take a cut key and file it down to the deepest depths, then go just a little deeper. File the end of the key and remove about a third of a space from the shoulder.

They will work if you get the spacing correct.

Copy and put this into Google search. You will get about 200 results.

"bumpkey" site:lockpicking101.com

Then put this one in and you will get over 800 results.

Something covered by a video of an 11 year-old girl being handed a bump key for the first time in her life and opening a lock in only a minute is only allowed to talked about in the advanced section?!?!?!

I realize that by posting this I have probably made sure that I will never, EVER, be granted access to the advanced section (assuming the personalities behind the curtain behave the same way as those that pulled the strings at nearly every other discussion forum I have ever been on) but I just don't understand why a technique that is literally demonstrated on news-casts all over the world is supposed to be considerd "advanced".

Are you sure that such a topic is considered "advanced" here?

Please pardon me for saying this but, because many of us know how bumpkeys work and how easy they are, claiming that bump keys are for the advanced forum might make people think that the advanced forum has nothing to do with honing your picking technique but, rather, is all about lock compromise. But if that were the case, it would go against their own....

Are you really sure that the (assumedly) most experienced pickers here somehow consider a bumpkey to be more "advanced" than the fine art of single pin picking???

How can this be?

I am starting to feel really disillusioned here!

I thought the advanced forum was where people could really have access to the zen-like techniques of advanced picking. Not just a forum where people could trade snap-gun recipes! I mean, the forum is called "LOCKPICKING101". Not "BUMPGUNNING101". So why are you saying that the advanced forums even give a hoot about something that has already been disseminated to the entire world population on the nightly news?

Is the advanced forum really about bump keys? I am very disappointed if so.

If not, I am very.... (I don't even know the word) ...whatever that you would suggest that something as obvious and well publicized as a bump key was only fit for discussion in the advanced forum.

Bump keys are not considered advanced and the discussion of them has been beat to death in the public forums at this site. The advanced forums are about picking high security locks, bypass techniques, automotive discussion, safes and high security tools.

Now if you will excuse me I have a new recipe to share with the advanced members.
