I just started my F-B Course today... so far all is smooth sailing, the file is a bit rough to work on the keys with but I've got a nice set of files anyway so :0)

Hi,
I'm a new user here at LP101, and I've just been reading through this thread from the beginning, and I've decided to go ahead and start the FB course. When i went to their website, I signed up for a free kit, and then it took me to a site that would allow me to sign up for the full course. The course here is a bit different from what i've been reading throughout this thread. It has the basic lockpicking lessons, as well as 5 other different sets of lessons (high security, auto, safe and vault, business management, and burglar systems). The cost of this one, since I'll be making monthly payments, is going to be around 1000 dollars. I was just curious as to whether or not i should go ahead and sign up for this course, or just sign up for the one that you all have signed up for. Of course, I may be thinking about this wrong and maybe this is the same course that you signed up for? I'm not sure. Any help is greatly appreciated!!
Thanks,
Calliah

I'm pretty sure fb only offers the one locksmithing course, my suggestion would be to get the free information and wait awhile until the price drops. It eventually got down to 600 dollars for me including the bonus pick gun.

I am on lesson 26. I really should be further though. I bought a kwikset repinning kit off of ebay for 20.00 and have rekeyed 2 homes and a business with 14 cylinders in it. Luckily they were all kwikset. I am really enjoying it. Getting out there and doing it makes it all come together. The impressioning lesson had me stuck for a while. Broke 3 keys and nearly sawed one in half. I found it easier to file with the flat end of the file. instead of the V part of it. Good luck everyone.

At what point do you get the pick gun, if you signed on with that deal?
