Gotcha. I thought I had DivX on my machine, but I guess that was the laptop...
btw AVI doesn't always mean divx. it could be divx, indigo, microsoft video, etc.

Anyone else tried this? I didn't have much luck with an aluminium can so am on the hunt for something still sold in steel cans.
From this image, the design looks like a thicker 'handle' bar with the actual shim attached to it. More commonly when I've seen shims for sale on the web, they seem to be a 1-piece construction-is this because they are not worthwhile making more sturdily because they are ineffective or because they are rarely re-used?

I can open a masterlock combination lock in less than 10 seeconds with a popcan shim... it works wonderfully on those, but on anything with a more powerful spring pusing on the locking dog (I think that's the right term for it) they bend, you might try small cans of tomato or grapefruit juice, I don't know what kind of metal they're made of but it is stiffer than aluminum.

I Just did a quick video of me opening a lock with a popcan shim, its not as good as the elusive jason lynn video and its not too high quality, but you can see that it does work.
here's the URL

the shim came from a pepsi can BTW... I'll take pics if anyone wants to see it better... I'd have done a better video but the battery died on the camera...

I've been trying to make one, but the can keeps tearing inside the lock. Maybe my master combo lock is just old or something. I don't know.
