Different types of Padlock pick'ins

Hi, i am new to Lock picking and i am able to pick my back door kwikset door handle lock as well as a cable lock i found in my basement. i have the 17 peice southord lock pick set yet i can not get the American Lock that i found. I watched videos on youtube of people picking brinks deluxe locks and they mentioned security pins. If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Advice #1: Do not pick locks that are in use (youur back door). You may and probably will damage the internals and whoops, the lock doesn't work any more.

Advice #2: Have you sanded your picks smooth? If not, I'll refer to Advice #1 above for general results of not having picks sanded

Advice #3: Find Deviant Ollams webpage and read it through.

we have an extra deadbolt that we use
we dont even have a key
i will sand them down
and i will search for his posts
