Postby shizxdiz » 20 May 2008 22:40

I have searched the forums and i havent found a topic on this particular lock

http://masterlock.com/cgi-bin/product_d ... mplate=app

It has security pins (4-5)
It is reinforced so you cant clip it
It is unshimmable

ive picked it four times already but am looking for more tips to pick it. Its pretty hard took me about 30-60 minutes each try

You will not find info, thats a highschool type lock, and we don't really converse about those locks in the general forums, its also a combo lock, and finally, no one knows you, so we don't know what your "motivation" to pick this lock really is..

Other than that, welcome to the forum, introduce yourself in the "introduce yourself here" topic, and pick up a kwikset!

this is the first lock i encountered with security pins was just wondering if there were any tips or specific ways to pick this lock. Its my lock from gym i take it home and mess with it because its the hardest lock i have so far, dont have the money to buy any others.

plus i dont have a credit card to order the kwikset, im just doing this as a hobby

neone got any tips on picking this with just two bobby pins? So far they've helped me with every other lock (that didnt have security pins).

 .. Oh boy...

Do not pick locks in use, do not pick locks you rely on, blah, blah, blah. If you don't have the $$ to go and buy a kwikset from a hardware store, or wal mart, you really don't want to bust this lock.

Again, its a lock for school and allot of persons on here dislike new users asking how to pick one open.

Sure, it may be your lock, and you may just be doing this for fun, but what about the other person that googles the same info, so they can steal a PSP or some other expensive item from your locker, or someone else's?

As someone mentioned earlier, find another lock to practice on.. like a kwikset. They are really cheap, (cheaper than that padlock) and get some real picks, or make some. Bobby pins.. well they sometimes work, but you will like real picks allot better. (there is tutorials on how to make picks on this site, take a look around)

Don't expect information on how to pick that specific lock to be posted anywhere in the general sections on this forum anytime soon.
There is tonnes of info on that lock in the advanced section, but that is in due time for you.
