I'm gonna be patient... Give him ample time to come through.

It hasnt been long enough yet to start giving him grief.

I'v done a little research though....

I have 2 seperate addresses and contact numbers as well as the domain registration information.

The auto reply's come from the CMK domain, but he actually replies from an AOL account.... and thats a treasure trove of information to explore.

I havent done any real research yet, cause it hasnt been warranted.

I still don't even know what we are dealing with.... could be a total ripoff, could be misrepresented merchandise, could just be a blank key with instructions "get it cut" :)

I'm actually expecting "something" in the mail..... Seems like they would have been shut down by now if they were just straight up taking peoples money and not delivering anything at all.

We'll see what happens... but you can bet if it's a Ripoff I can think of a few fun ways to make a scammers life more interesting.

maybe even get my money back from PP when all is said and done.

Oh, It just keeps getting better and better.

It's been about 11 days now... still no word.

I shot off another email and..... Carmasterkeys@aol.com is no longer accepting emails from my address. :)

I'm gonna give it 3 more days to make it a nice, even 2 weeks.... then the fun begins.

Any members from Mesa, Arizona want to do a drive by and check the address for me?

An actual picture of the property would be excellent.

I'm pretty sure it's this Apt/Condo complex.

http://www.darwinwall.com/listings/home33.html

Internet search shows that they have alot of vacancies...but his APT # is indeed occupied.

Another Update:

After two weeks with no responses and no package, I disputed the charges with PayPal.

-------------------------------------
Dear Mark Fisher,

We recently received a claim from a buyer who indicated that either they
never received merchandise they purchased from you or an item that they
received was significantly not as described.

Please review the details of the original transaction:

--------------------------------------

If the charge is disputed and the seller doesnt object in 10 days the funds are returned to the account.

But today he actually responded.. and I got this in the mail:

----------------------------------------
Dear OpenSays-a-me,

Your purchase will be shipped with PayPal Shipping with U.S. Postal
Service!

Mark Fisher used PayPal Shipping with U.S. Postal Service to create a
shipping label for your purchase. Once the package is given to the Post
Office(tm), it will be on its way to you!

----------------
Hello,
We have shipped out your order for the second time and we have now provided a tracking number. Priority Mail will take 2 to 3 days max to reach your residence.
track your envelope at www.usps.com your tracking number is xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

----------------------------------

So he wasnt ignoring me... apparantly the package just got lost in the mail. ;)

Even got a fancy schmancy traking number this time.

we'll see....

This is what I got after the reply from PayPal. My first actual response from cmk since I placed the order.

-----------------------

Here is your tracking number, we have now shipped out
your order for the second time the situtaion with paypal's complaint
department needs to be taken care of.

Sincerely, Mark Fisher

-----------------------

They don't like that PP complaint too much.

And he wants me to cancel the complaint on the basis that he generated a tracking number.

I know it takes time for tracking info to update, but I'v never gotten this response before... well, not until now:

-------------------

Current Status

You entered xxxtrackingnumberxxx

No information is available for this item. Please contact the sender

------------------------

The responses are still jumping back and forth between

I wouldn't "take care of" the PP complaint.. let it stand... I hope they have some sort of thing that shows what the seller did to resolve the issue... so they can see that he has supposedly sent you the product.. that way others can see what happened and decide for themselves... hopefully if it happens to someone else they'll do the same and if it happens alot he may lose his PayPal account... I'd let it stay...

I'm not gonna cancel the complaint until I have recieved the object.

In all honesty... I have to report to PayPal if the item is delivered, And they will consider the complaint resolved.

However, if he grossly misrepresented the object I can file a new complaint.

And then again... I don't put it past them that this is just another ploy, trying to stretch past the 30 day mark. Complaints placed more than 30 days after purchase are much harder to get refunded.

The tracking number was generated by PP... no telling when or if he'll ever send a package.

I wish PayPal had more of a feedback system like ebays... buyers can't really see any complaints left on the seller... only how many verified users have done a transaction with them.

We all know how terrible USPS's tracking system is, but.....

updated, but still not dropped.

------------------------------------
The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper or shipping partner on July 20, 2004 to expect your package for mailing. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later.

Here is what happened earlier:

All this talking to myself...finally a bit of resolution.

16 days and a bunch of bitchin' and moanin' later, package finally (or rather "actually") recieved.

It's cut from a standard axxess+ dodge/chrysler blank. Not the flimsy stamped jiggler I was expecting.

So far it doesnt appear to be a duplicate of any of my personal jigglers/rockers or the images I have found online.

It came with pretty standard jiggler instructions.

I'll try to get some scans up this evening of the key and instructions.

I'll also have a chance this weekend to try it on several cherokees.... keep you updated on that as well.

Seems like you went through hell and back just to actually get it. Even if it works (seriously doubting) I wouldn't want to risk and "lost in the mail" crap with my package. I'm very interested to hear what happens, keep posting.

^^ Yep, not exactly the best business practices. That's for sure. :)

Heres the images I promised. Should be a snap to duplicate.

I dont have any graph paper..... but you could just use a blank for size purposes... print it out and you got yourself a template.

And the instructions as well. Read through it, It's pretty funny. Particularly Method 1, ignitions 2. "works very fast" :)
