All the method #2's are better... particularly if they involve pliers. :)

The post game wrap up.

These are pretty much the facts of the transaction wrapped up for anyone considering a purchase from CarMasterKeys.net, in no particular order.

(I wish there was en edit function so I could add it to my first post and save some people some reading time)

-They provided a false patent number as proof of legitimacy.

-They started ignoring(blocked my email address)/not responding to my emails shortly after I payed them, and well before I started in with the nasty letters.

-I did not recieve any kind of reply from CMK concerning my order until nearly 2 weeks had passed and only after I disputed the purchase to PayPal.

-They did eventually deliver after much complaining (16 days total)

And thats about it in a nutshell... much easier read than 3 pages. ;)

Maybe you could open your own online store to compete with them.

Just sell a thin bladed screw driver with the instruction:

" place in lock and turn quite hard"

Also dont forget the warning:

" this is not meant to replace the original key"

This quite a viable solution and you wouldnt need lots of different types of screw driver.

Pretty much what I was thinking when I read that too.

Don't forget to wait 2-4 seconds between turnings. :)

I've been watching this thread since the beginning and I was convinced from the offset that it was some sort of con/very misleading.

They havn't even got the terminology correct - 'Master Keys'

Looks like a regular key to me... When you gonna try it out?

I can try it out on several cherokees this weekend.

I have a couple spare sets of doors, i'll give them a go as well.

Beside that... it'll have to be a work in progress.

I have the generic jigglers, a rocker set, the LockMasters marshall keys..... and now the CMK master key.

I'll keep it in my kit, try to compare it's results to my other tools when I get the opportunities.

Maybe some of you guys can duplicate it and post your results as well.

Also, to those interested in copying...

The scan kinda makes it look like both sides of the key are symetrical and the image was washed out by the scanner, but it's not.

There are small differences in the 2 sides.

Not that it matters very much considering the nature of jiggler, but just a heads up

Well, The key worked on 1 of 4 sets of doors with minimal jiggling. <95 jeep cherokees.

However... I must add, My actual spare jeep key also opened the same door.

SO... it did work... but I have the feeling that almost any jeep key would open that door.

Definately didn't "work like magic"... I didnt try the "plier method" either. ;)

master keys not a scam

Postby willdonkeypunch » 31 Mar 2006 13:06

I purchased the dodge master key from this website about 6 months ago, after a news report about how they worked. It took a few weeks to receive it but it was worth the wait. It works on dodge and chrysler very easily, so I ordered the other 4 keys they sell. they all have worked at least %50 of the time, dodge, chevy, and toyota work much better. I think they are worth the money if you are locked out of your car just once, they probably wouldnt be any help for a locksmith because you cant try to open a customers car with a tryout key. It is a great tool for auto repo guys like myself. After months of use I know all the years and models that they will work on. I will say that carmasterkeys is way overcharging, the key blanks they use are .97 at walmart and you can get them for as little as .15 if you buy in bulk.l
