hi guys new to the forum ,
its a question on the pick for the fortess lock , would you guys recommend the icl pick with the pre lifter or i have the cb pick and i could get the f wire , cost is not such an issue as i'm looking more for ease of use realy , i do like the cb pick for feel , never used the icl ones

The cb pick with the prelifter adapted for this lock is by far the best for feel and ease of use, the wire is superb and far easier to use than the original cb pick with f wire, mainly due to the pre lift giving you smooth access and the exceptionally well made wire and value for money.

The SWS tools and ICL tool are very similar, nothing wrong with either body and both do the job, but the wire on both is a big let down and lets the tool down, the francis pistol grip is very comfortable to use and gives it an edge over the icl tool for me, however buy either of these 2 and you will need to make your own wire that you find comfortable to work with.

thanks for the help , cb pick it is then , when i asked chris b , it seems that i have the originol modified pick , that will take the f wire , i take it their is another pick made specially for the fortress with a pre lifter , as i was thinking that these levers would still take some getting under without pre lifting , if their is that sounds like the one i need , do you know what the code or name is ?

having the PL makes it 100% easier, the wire and tool are superb for the job, although possible with the original tool and the MG tool , the pl is far better at the job and far more responsive.
