The best advice I was given about this was to call your local lockies and ask them. I prefer to be honest but I've read post where you pretend to be a client.

I just state that I'm restructuring my pricelist and need to compare prices. In a way it is price fixing , which in our country is unlawful.

When I get the price from my competition I just make my prices a bit lower.

Also I hear what other clients tell my about what they paid at other lockies. My prices are usually cheaper .

The other method I use is that I go to larger hardware stores and check their prices and I'm surprised I'm sometimes cheaper than what they are.

Hope these help and as for actual prices I'm from South Africa, so our prices will be a bit off. It is also a good idea to put your location in "profile box"

The national locksmith has a book that is great for pricing. Once you figure what your hourly rate will be you multiply it be the numbers in the book and you get your rate for each job.
