I have to start out giving a big thanks to everyone that has made this site such a great resource. Without all the guides, questions of others, and such I doubt I would have been able to do so much so quickly.
I received my Southord MPXS-62 set in the mail on Monday, and acquired a few locks here and there over the next few days. I finally had time to sit down and play last night, and I must say I haven't had this much fun in years.
First up, a Kwikset deadbolt. Succumbed to raking with a half diamond in a matter of seconds. For a standard Masterlock, a few jiggles with the long jag and it popped open in two seconds. A Chinese knock off fell just as quickly. I also had a Brinks brass-bodied padlock and a store brand Chinese brass body that didn't fall as quickly. With these I had to practice single pin picking. Finally, some fun! It took about ten minutes of work to open both of these the first time around, but now I can pop them in about a minute.
I also bought one of that easily-repinnable practice locks while drunk last weekend. I've been able to pick it up to five pins, although I've yet to replace the top pins with spools, but I imagine those will fall fairly quickly.
So I have a question, where to go from here?

focus more on SPP. you'll develop more skills than raking alone

I've gone back and SPP'd the three locks that fell quickly. They still fall quickly, but there's certainly something reassuring when you can say, "And the next one will open *CLICK*". I've already hit up ebay for some mortise lock cylinders, so with any luck I will have plenty to keep me busy Real Soon Now. I'll also be picking up a Medeco m3 from the post office monday morning.

start off slow...... don't jump into medeco right off, it'll just pi$$$ you off when it doesn't open in a month. all the best worked their way up to those, and some of the best still haven't even got there yet.
