Ordering the hpc cardware from lockmasters..This should fill in any cards im missing..anything bad or tricks about printing own cards?? Seems cheaper in long run to have disk and print out as needed..

I just ordered the Cards and Keys software. When it gets here I'll let you all know how good or crappy it is.

Anybody know if the punch cards will work with the 1200 blitz or vice versa?

Re: hpc 1200 punch machine cards and code info

WH software is instacode, costs about 100 bucks a year, comes on a cd, is also a very good code program, prints better cards than black hawk, imho, the blach hawk cards work but look like something your kid created on the school computer, blackhawk folks are very helpfull ,no problem calling them for help with a code , there service is second to none, for the price get both instacode and blackhawk col, the WH kreate a key cards are the best i have printed, very clear, spaces and depths are on the card as well as a picture of how the key is aligned , shoulder, tip etc, spaces and depths are shown in inches as well as milimeters, the cards work in both the punch and blitz, as a side note the punch is very easy to damage if it is over stroked, and it will not cut all weiser depths, especialy important if you live in canada the land of weiser. as always this is my opnion others may have different thoughts.

I have a 1200 punch machine I picked up used for around $1,100 online. Its a nice machine it will do most standard keys except for yale and I think weiser. I usually use yale pre cuts anyways and you could get a set of depth and spacer keys if you had to generate yale/weiser keys anyways. If you dont mind spending a couple hundred bucks more the blitz machines will do yales/weisers. My grandpa has used a 1200 machine for years and has been happy with it, but he is old school too. ;-)

Ok, I just got my Cards & Keys program and have been testing it out on a variety of keys and locks for a couple weeks and I have to say that I'm very very impressed.

The quality as far as the depth & space, key blank info and other misc information printed onto the printed cards rivals the ones printed by HPC Code Source.

The program is very very easy to use and for me it required only half an hour or so to get comfortable using it. You can look up the code cards through either the card number or by key blank. Also holds a lot of code card and key info for keys from around the world since its made by the same people who created InstaCode.

It was missing a few cards for some real older cars and other odd ball stuff and you can't initially conduct a search by code series from what I see but overall for something costing about $100 it's a very good program. Would recommend to anyone.

Here in Oz and New Zealand WH Software is very popular. (along with other parts of the world.)
I'm very glad to hear that you are so happy with your cards and keys program.
It does work well.
Very simple to learn and very user friendly.
And the print outs are of good quality.
In future if you are cutting keys to code you might consider WH Softwares Instacode program. You can buy it outright or choose thier annual subscription.
Look at me I sound like a salesman for them

I have both programs and like them immensly but mostly use Instacode.
Cards and Keys is reserved for when I need to adjust a cards settings or make a new one from scratch.
