It's a nice lock, and certainly meets the insurance standard.

Not figured out a way to open these yet, aside from the obvious. The warded keyway means that a standard pick won't work as it simply won't fit, and you need a heck of a bend in your wire to reach the first lever due to the internal warding, which blocks access to levers 1 & 2. Blanks are restricted, even I haven't got any. :-(

Of the current systems for decoding a lever lock, not one will work without a lot of extra work. Martin P et al put a lot of thought into this lock.

For some pictures, we can look there : http://walkerlocksmiths.co.uk/toolslocksiclmortice.php but if someone can post some inside pics, it would be nice.

How is this keyway restrictive ?
It seems that there is no warding, you can make a key with quite any lever key, can't you ?
Is the diameter smaller than traditional ones ?

I think this lock can easily be opened by impression, and much easier by autoimpressioning.
For picking it, you should use such pick tools showed in the barry's blog few weeks ago (from Eastern Europe he said)

Oh i can assure you that there is warding, in same style as fortress just twice as deep on both sides of cap and case, and the cross shape key does thwart most current pick stems from working.
The anti picks are in both top and bottom fences and sharpened up as has the V notch been in the stump.

not unpickable, but may as well be to those without the tenacity and commitment to work at it, open picks as requested.

I love the way it is being promoted by the ICL, yet there guidelines say that NDE has to be the way and any damage done has to be compensated. Yet this lock has so many anti pick features...isn't that abit like shooting yourself in the foot ?

Not a shot in the foot , but a new challenge , as stated in an earlier post , certainly not unpickable for those with the skill and commitment to sit and persevere with it.
New improved locks are released every year or two, all throwing up new challenges, those committed to what they do learn practice and defeat the new locks, and 5 years on we have seen many new cylinders and mortice locks introduced, and like the icl guarantee still being there as are determined lock pickers.

increased and improved lock security happens all the time, if we saw this as a shot in the foot we would all give up .

if created by man their will always be a way for man to defeat it , some enjoy the challenge more than others.

I currently have an idea for semi-destructive bypass for this lock, but I do'nt think this is for here (advanced stuff), Here's a clue--- a drill ;)

my point exactly some enjoy the challenge and work it out and some dont so reach for a drill. Maybe in next generation they can work into it a live relocker, should be interesting.

Hi Guys

We all love picking diffcult locks, so take a look at the new ICL 6 lever being picked in 80 seconds. I guess nothing is impossible, this guy must be the business.

Do you think this lock has been doctored or is it that easy to pick?

iv seen this picked quite easilly. Its all in the design of your wire, Same with any new mortise lock that comes out nowadays, just re-design wires that work better, higher lift levers= longer wire, thinner levers= thinner wire, low bellied levers= dipped wires... the warding on this isnt great you can use a 7 gauge tension wrench instead of the 5 and it fits great. Havent picked it myself but seen it done
