I think you are mixing DC with DBS now Disc Controller is the one that blocks the key rotation until fully inserted (the ball bearings or half-moon discs). Disc Block System is engaged when you turn the key 90 degrees: One of the return bars is jammed upwards in to the small notches in the discs, locking them in place.

oh i know i have as good a chance of getting this as winning the lottery, but the problem with the locksport is, once you pick a lock then you can generally pick it pretty consistantly and have to go buy a new lock. if locks werent so expensive that would be fine. My logic is, if I can never pick this lock then I will never have to spend money on locks again

I guess that depends on the math, if you look at how many people play lotteries and how many try to pick the Protec...
I believe there are currently 2 (non-indepently verified) claims about manipulating the Protec out there: the decoding mentioned on blackbag and a lengthy picking with some type of curtain-style pick.
So yes, you might have a chance

this lock is my moby dick. I will not part with it until it's blubber is being sold and its oil being made into perfume

lol on a side note though I recieved the pick today. Trippy little thing. I will begine the mangling process tomorrow.

I have had random family members stepping in for visit and summer school courses to take care of so i havent had much time as of recent, but I have various pictures and diagrams printed out and am tryin gto plan out what i want to do to this thing. Im being so meticulous because I am only a kid and money is short so I can't really afford to destroy something, at least... if i can help it
