jammed lock

jammed lock

the pins in one of my locks has jammed (its a five pin pin and tumbler padlock) i could pick it really easyly untill i took it apart. i managed to pick it once but after that. but now one of the pins refuses to move and and some are jammed up and wont fall down (i dont have the key either). any ideas anyone??
If it doesn't seem to make sence, take a minuite to look at who said it... do you still want to know?

Okay, I have a few guess right of the bat.

The first guess is that you somehow got some gunk in there.
The second is that you managed to get the top and bottom pins confused.
The third is that you crushed the springs in some way.

In any case, disassemble the lock completely, and check everything again.

did you take plug out and reinsert it the opposite direction that it came out?

hmm mate the way you explaned it to me .. it sounds like the springs have died, or you got mushrooms, spools or other security pins

theres no mushroom or spool pins in it... and i cant take apart the lock untill i can open it and i cant do that untill i un-jam it, but i might hav curshed the pins tho or done something when i last took it apart

i would say what model it is but i dont know how to tell... but i do no its a ABUS and it says n; 83/45 on it... arrrg witch one do i look at 83 or 45 blaag

its an 83..the 45 is the width of the padlock

The pnly 83/45 I know of is an Abus. I did a google & could only find Abus with this part number.

Well there aren't many options. You really need to get that stuck pin moving.

Wash padlock with kero & dry out completly. then try to pick again. Note you must dry out the lock so as not to cause hydraulic lock with the pins. (assuming you are using a pick gun).

Other than that there are only destructive methods.
Drill plug and replace plug. This is a common plug & most lockys will have one lying around you can have.
