The pen is not a professional pick set. It's a gimmick. Sure it looks nice and sounds really compact and useful, and it is. As a
backup to throw in your tool box or glove box or back pack. Get a leather zipper case pick set or a snap over leather case pick set where each pick has it's own handle and you dont have to fumble around changing out the tips.

If you think you can pick pretty well right now, then sure the pen style picks and jackknives are a handy item, but if you're just starting out, then no, you'll never learn proper picking with them, and will only open crappy locks because of luck, not because of any real skill.
