Hi, I'm Glen from the middle of nowhere in Australia, I've recently become interested in locksports due to work

I'm a sparky in a small town and no one seems to know where the keys are to their switchboards, turns out one of the other guys in town has the habit of "accidentally" taking the keys with him when he leaves

So now in a few cases I have been forced to damage the lock, with the owners permission, just to quickly restore power to their business

So while the constant yelling at the other idiot will continue (by the business owners) I've ordered myself some slimline picks from Southord and a couple sets from Serepick (it's all tax deductale) and I am in the process of building a half decent picking station

Hi,

I'm a student going to university on the East coast. I taught myself lockpicking with some books from Amazon in high school, stopped for two years when I was going to boarding school and lock picks probably would have gotten me in trouble, and have picked it up again in university.

I discovered LP101 last semester and finally worked up the nerve to join. I use the 15pc slimline set by SouthOrd, combined with Peterson flat five pro tension wrenches, and I'm trying to put a cap on a current obsession of looking for interesting locks on ebay.

One of my primary goals this summer is to be able to pick a medeco biaxial but first I need to be able to competently pick locks with security pins.

Thanks for providing a great community that I can talk about locks with other than my twin.

Well I just started in the art of lockpicking, Hoping my pick set arrives today or tomorrow.
I've been picking with a bent bobby pin, but it is killing my fingers because it is way to small for confort.
I wanted to thanks this forum for all the basic guides :D helped quite a bit on my first lockpick (just 5 pins, nothing special)

Hello all! I've only just discovered this site a few weeks ago, and now regestered =)

I'm from the UK (England) so hello from across the pond (USA) and to all others too.

A very nice site with lots of information to get my teeth into, i can see alot of hard work and effot has gone into it. I'm interested about the workings of locks and how to get them open with either household items or tools you buy/make. I've had a lock pick set for a while (2 ish years) but not very good with it, just bought some other picking tools over the last 3 months and gaining more every month (small budget).

I have come here to learn a few tricks, meet other like minded people and get hints and tips! Well thats all from me for now =)

I have been lockpicking on and off for 1 year and I consider myself a rookie still, and to me this is a hobbie. I´m hoping that joining this community can give me more knowlage about lockpicking and that I can share what I know to others here. I am from Sweden so my spelling and grammar might not always be right but I hope I can make myself understod.
