bahaha, MORE LIKE DUMB KEY! :D

we constantly are going out on lockout calls to this horrible over designed lock.... and we cannot warranty it, because we absolutely HATE it, and it causes lock outs a fair amount from the little sidebar grooves getting in the wrong place.....

i STRONGLY recomend NOT SELLING TO ANYONE UNLESS THEY ARE KEEN ON IT!
and i would deffinatly let them know that they have had many problems with lockouts before i sold it and MADE SURE THEY WERE 100% CLEAR

Has any locksmiths on this site ever run into these locks where the little tab on the key pins has broken off and no longer able to position the wafer to the sidebar and cause the correct key to not being able to open the lock? From taking a look at this locks internals it doesn't look like it would take much to somehow snap off those little key pin tabs.
If a lock is a puzzle, then its key is the complete picture

I personally run into the problem of the spring that pushes the side-bar wafer containing vessel (for lack of better term) over the key pins giving out and bending. This causes the key to no longer function properly. I have remedied the situation by replacing the dinky spring it comes with. I found that by clipping off a bit of the spring for click pens, you can use that instead, which makes the lock more reliable.
Lock picking is an art, not a means of entry.

Where's the reset tool avaliable from? Is it after market or right from OEM? I'm seeing more of the smart locks on lock out calls. Lucky for me there's always been another lock on another door :)
Keys? We don't need no stinkin keys!
