Would I see a big difference if I got those instead of the ones I linked?
Yeah, you got me, MBI!
I'll probably end up getting a Jacknife on the side regardless lol. It's such a cool concept! You never know when a set might come in handy, which means you have to carry it around everywhere. I can see myself doing that with a folding tool, but not so much with individual picks. I'll probably just use those for practice and bring them only when I know I'll need them (say a hot friend locks herself out and calls me for help - can't wait for that!).
In my humble opinion, yes they are better. Obviously any old pick will often do with enough practice but I find the Peterson picks are very comfortable to use and perform well when I use them. Obviously you pay a little more but it's not a huge difference and the plastic handles are well worth having.
Get a jack knife set then, they work well enough but I wouldn't want to use one often to pick with. I have a set of 'bogota' picks in my wallet sometimes, easier to carry than the jack knife, less heavy/bulky and quite nice to use.
