Never used one and never will. Your tension hand is just as important as the one you pick with. You have to feel and adjust you tension as you go while picking. Don't waste your money on it.
You can learn something from everyone you meet if you would just shut up and listen.

Took the words right outta my mouth... a useless gimmick and a waste of money, nobody in their right mind would want that unless they were actually missing a limb. And as many have proven, you can pick with one hand just fine without one so it's a very questionable piece of kit.

There are some tools which are so good that, with practice, actually take away the challenge and the fun of picking. We tell people not to buy certain things because they simply wouldn't learn anything from them. And then there are others which are just completely pointless and belong in the fire... this one would be in the latter camp, so save your money unless you already have a decent set and can afford it easily.

It does look pretty suave and stylish, so I wouldn't turn my nose up if I received it as a gift. Take the stupid weights off and it'd be a very sexy emergency kit. But there is no way in hell I'd pay that amount of money for it. :)

I disagree with both of you, your wrench hand is MORE important that your picking hand!

Simple out does gimmicky everytime!

If you don't see the locals with it don't get it yourself, that applies to everything in life.

I think you misunderstood my post. I know tension is the most important part of picking, that's why the weighted wrenches suck so much. I thought that kinda went without saying :|

I prefer the weighted wrench so that I can have one hand free to eat a sandwich or drink a beer while I pick!
