Quick Question?

If you are doing a auto lock out why would you try and pick the lock instead of using a bypass tool? Wouldn't the bypass tool be faster?

Because there are people who can pick a lock faster than others can bypass of course. 8)

We talk about picking automobile locks here because this is Lock PICKING 101. Aside from that, many of our members do not have access to or want to spend the money on auto opening tools and manuals. Another good reason is that people will look at you funny if you walk around with am MCOT in your hip pocket. Most picks are much easier to carry around. I kept an auto opening kit behind the seat in my truck until someone busted out a window and took everything they could grab. I was lucky enough that they didn't snatch my auto kit along with the tools they did steal. After that I just decided to keep my auto tools locked up until I needed them for a job. I still carry picks around with me pretty much everywhere.
