Bommer Mailbox Tips?

Hey guys, been lurking here for quite a while now, but the time has come for my first post.
Everyone talks about what a pain mailbox locks are, so I stopped by a local locksmith shop today on a whim. Picked up a Bommer lock just to see for myself. Man... talk about frustrating. Can anyone give me any pointers here? The tools I have at my disposal are the Southord 32 piece set and Jackknife. Which shape is ideal for such a small lock? (I'm only used to practicing with larger locks) Any tips at all would be greatly appreciated.

Old or new style? Makes a big difference.. also a photo would help as well to narrow it down, unless you have the exact model # and sub series as well.

So hey, just gonna state the obvious here.. you're a long time lurker, so you must have read enough posts to know we frown upon people's first post being one where they ask for info on a specific lock that is used to secure something that most people in the public consider sacred, their mail. Other locks we frown upon 1st posters asking about is Coke machines, dorm room locks, or grainy photos of a lock that obviously isn't theirs.

Also, its an easy as pie cam lock, so you shouldn't need any advice. Bommer = cam lock = wafer lock = snowman pick or half diamond pick. If your Bommer is the mini pin tumbler one, then Slimline picks is what you need because the normal size Southord are gonna be chunky. Or use top of keyway tensioning to give you more room to put an S rake in there or a half diamond. Still not much of a challenge. Also, throw away the jackknife, or put it in the bottom of your toolbox, it's just a novel toy.

Who are all these people talking about what a pain mailbox locks are? Who's picking mailboxes around here? nobody I know...

Yeah, I know how it looks so I'm posting pics of my lock.
I've been reading through these forums for almost six months now.
I say "Everyone" as in other web sources and a couple of locksmiths I spoke to personally. All I hear is that these things are difficult and I actually am having a bit of trouble (moreso than usual anyway).
Thanks for the advice though.

Based on the key, insert a half diamond all the way, apply medium tension, and then pull the half diamond out quickly as you at the same time lift it against the pins to push them up. Don't let go of the tension, and insert half diamond in again all the way and repeat this 5 or 6 times. It should open. Make sure you're tensioning in the correct direction in case the cam is made only to turn +90 degrees, or -90 degrees.
