What did you pick today?

Information about locks themselves. Questions, tips and lock diagram information should be posted here.

This morning I picked two Ilco 5 pin tumblers, then I took them apart, rearranged the pins and picked them again.

Also, I placed the pins so I would have to use some of the picks I haven't used yet.

I picked my bathroom lock. The easiest thing you could do too. This is it.

I'm just getting started, and I dont have many locks, but so far today I've opened three #3 master locks, and a kwikset door knob a few times each. I have several gun locks I want to work on, but I need to make some smaller picks first.

I got this one a couple of days ago and finally have the picking order down so that I can get it consistently in about a half a minute. I was pretty excited as it was the first lock with relatively tight tolerances I've ever tried. No security pins, but it was a smaller keyway than the Brinks and Masters I'd practiced on before and I had a tough time with it at first. The tools pictured are the ones I found worked best: a Peterson Pry Bar Lite, and a Southord Euro/Slimline short hook.

I meant to ask (but I couldn't edit the post above), does anyone know if this is the SC keyway?

My VERY FIRST! It's not much, but still my first. My goal is the American 5200GL, I have a box full of them with no keys...

please excuse the crappy cell phone photo (I have a degree in photography and use a phone as a camera, my Dad would be so proud)

An interesting Burg Wächter boccia padlock, it's a dimple lock with 6 active pins and I guess 4 passive profile pins.

Cheers :)
