First Lock Picked - Jam

Good morning.

Well I've just successfully picked my first practise lock, a 6 pin euro lock.

Unfortunatlly I only roated the lock half a turn and it now appears locked in place. As it's only half roated I now can't get the key in.

Am I missing something here or have I knackered the lock?

The spring loaded driver pins fell into the plug. Just push them back with a flat tool (e.g. reversed half diamond) and turn the plug.

Thanks for your help - you were spot on and the lock is back into the correct position.

All ready for me to try again at lunchtime. Hopefully I can do it a little quicker and smoother this time.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations to your first lock. Since there are not too much 6 pin euro cylinders around I guess it was a Wilka?

I think he's from the UK based on his use of the word "knackered" lol. There are tons of 6 pin euros in the UK... yale, union, laird, ERA, zone, mila, UAP and SKS for example. Some unbranded ones are 6 pin too.
