Age restriction on owning lockpicks

Hi, I'm new to this forum and this question may have been asked before but I am just wondering what age restrictions if any have been placed on owning/importing lockpicks into New Zealand. I'm 17 and am interested in getting into lockpicking/locksport (all the padlocks i have lying around) as a hobby/time user but am unsure if i am even allowed to do so. Any help would be much appreciated.

after extensive research (on Wikipedia) i have learned that you are allowed to have lockpicks in NZ. If however you are intending to use them to commit a crime, you will end up doing three years in the slammer.

So no age restriction? Was thinking it would be like airsoft guns like how your allowed to have them without a FAL but have to be over 18

Ach, didn't properly read the question. I didn't find any info on age. If you have them at your house all should be well unless the police show up and that's going to happen, right? Right? Right then, make you're own and you're good to go!

Dont have access to tools to make any half good picks and im tired of paper clips, and im more worried about putting my name down when i import them if it turns out im underage.
