did you say a practice lock from a youtube kit?? yikes.. sounds chancy.. The local Ace Hardware, Walmart, Target, and Home Depot are all you should need to get as many locks as possible.
That Master padlock has 4 pins and no spool pins. try this trick if the bottom plate allows for it: counter clockwise tension wrench rotation, now try picking. For some reason sometimes Master Lock laminated padlocks often pick easier counter clockwise.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0x07dDVjsHM keep practicing, and get different locks to practice on, a Defiant deadbolt for $12 at Home Depot is a great choice because you can take it apart and start with 1 pin, then 2 pins, and so on, where as you cannot take the Master Lock apart easily to see the insides.
