QUestion about a vendor

Postby daniel22747 » 31 Jan 2013 6:06

Not sure if this is the right section to post this but I had a question about an interesting vendor

Does anyone have any knowledge about Cliff Lockpicks?

It seems to belong to a guy that sometimes goes by the name Lock Smith Army. He seems to be well know in the online lock picking world.

His site is very interesting and sells king and queen picks and a cool short hook that has a groove in it.

However I can't tell if his website is really up and running. I sent an e-mail a month ago and got no response and most of the items he is selling are out of stock.

Anyone have any experience with this vendor?

Locksmitharmy is active on the forum, and he was around a couple of days ago. You can PM him from here: memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=88396. Maybe you'll have more luck contacting him from here.

He's legit and a guy you can trust. No worries.

Thanks mate! 8)

Yeah he seemed to be well known and respected.

I might wait a while to PM him because I don't think I have been here long enough to talk directly about buying and trading items yet.

Maybe I will just send another e-mail on his website and mention that I am on the 101 boards!

Since you've been here a few months, I would think a friendly PM would be fine.

Oh no! Cliff Lock picks website has been down for a few days. Hope he didn't go out of bussiness. He was selling some really cool picks.

That is probably the case sadly :( There was not enough interest to fund the company. Orders rushed in then dwindled off and the he got hit by a car when he was out walking a few months ago so that was the final nail in the coffin.

That would explain things.

Hope he gets well soon.

If he reopens I advise people to check out his stuff.
He had some really quality picks on his website and those King and Queen picks are very hard to find!

Hopefully he'll chime in here with a definitive answer one way or the other, but based on what he told me in the chat room I'd be surprised if he did another run. He only had one small production run made and it was a pre-sale in which he didn't sell as many sets as he'd hoped.
