Moveable Element in a key

Postby FrenchKey » 9 Mar 2013 8:29

Hello,

I'm currently doing a few research about keys with a moveable element, and the locks which come with.

Here is a list I made and I hoped some of you could help me finding other ones :

ABUS XP2 (Bricard DUAL XP, CISA AP3S)
ABUS EP 10 (Bricard Chifral, CISA RS3S)
Bricard Supersureté with ballbearing *
Dierre Atra New Power (must be confirmed, I'm not sure it's moveable) *
DOM IX 5*
DOM IX 6*
DOM IX 10*
DOM IX Saturn*
Dény Fontaine double-bitted with spring loaded end ( already manufactured ??? or only a patent...)*
Dény Satyx *
Fichet M3B
FTH Atlantic M *
FTH Cobra *
FTH Axira *
ISEO CITY IZIS *
JPM KESO Oméga (Sargent, LIPS...)
JPM Quarzup
Laperche DIAM X *
Laperche DIAM XL *
Mul-T-Lock Interactive
Mul-T-Lock Interactive +
Mul-T-Lock MT5 *
PICARD VAK Mobile *
PICARD VIGIE Mobile *
PICARD Vigilia *
Pollux 7000
TESA TX80
TESA IPS *
TESA TK6
TESA T12 *
STS à Mobile Pendulaire (Pendular element) *
Vachette Radial Si
Vachette Radial NT / NT+
Vachette VX-Pro *

Do you know other models ?
The ones with the star * are the ones I'm looking to get (buy, trade, or gift :D )

By the way, do you know which one is the first of the world ? which patent ?
I think it might be DOM, but not sure, neither do I have the patent number or the date.

Bye Bye,
Frenchkey

a small piece of metal, inside the key, which can move, like a ball bearing in DOM keys : http://www.mesclefs.com/images/produits ... %C2%B0.jpg

Mauer NW4 (New wave 4) - with little rolling "wheels" in them.

BTW congrats on the post, I really like these "reference" types, they can come very handy. :)

Yes, the newer BiLock keys do have a moving hook type moving element which interact with another pin in the lock.

Hello,

Thank you for your contribution :D

I'm also interested in not anymore produced locks with such moveable element, if any.
Do you have info about the first one ?

I have a few STS CS8 and STS CS12 with moveable elements in the key.STS was a Spanish factory of TESA group that make some cylinders with the DOM manufacturer years ago(50% TESA and 50% DOM).They also made some STS DOM IX cylinders with no moveable elements and two rows of pins in the past, that was the first dimple keys in Spain 35 years ago (Today TESA is a filial of ASSA ABLOY group). If you are interested to buy or trade some of this cylinders contact me.Later in home I post some pics of the cylinders.

Hello,

Thanks for your reply. Indeed, I'm intersted to see what you have.

Do you know if STS as products that DOM or TESA never had themselves ?
