Nothing fancy here... my files are at work but it´s this set from Biltema (not even close to quality but sometimes it surprises) and the price is whopping 4€

I keep my eyes open next time I´m at the flea market :)

Yeah, give me prices. I've never seen files 1mm wide. I have a couple with like 5mm but not smaller than that. And to make this key I would need 1mm I think...
Go ahead, keep plugging away, picking on me! You will end up on bypass or with rigor mortise.

Checked my files... Grobet is 1,1mm wide and those Biltema files are 1,3mm wide. There are two similar width but different shape in that set. One is straight and the other is sharp tipped.

I think you could do it with these, there needs to be some play between your levers anyway. In Abloy classic the discs are 2mm wide and the machine cuts with 2,5mm slotter. Doesn´t impair its function but actually improves it by not letting the neighbour disc to take contact in wrong places.

Of course you can cut those keys with your dremel and cutting wheel if you have a steady hand. At least the coarse job so that you don´t spend hours filing.

All i can say about your work is excellent.Well in Finland country many people use to buy their own instead of making an alternative one.In part of Helsinki i notice some paloturvakapi fire safety cabinet and i realize how safety is it.Really amazing to see some stuff that very useful in life of people.
